It’s time to break your bad driving habits, because these habits can lead to issues with your car in the long-term. Follow these tips to help the life of both your car and your bank account.

1. Get that repair

It’s easy to see repair warning lights and ignore them. However, ignoring these warning signs can lead to further issues. Schedule an appointment with a certified mechanic at Rob Green GMC.

2. Avoid an empty tank

When you drive on an empty tank, this can lead to your fuel pump generating excess heat. To avoid any replacements, try to keep your tank at least a quarter of the way full.

3. Avoid sudden stops

Avoid making sudden stops when possible. Sudden stops can wear out your brake pads and rotors. Slowdown in advance when approaching a stop to not only keep you safe, but your brakes in better condition.

4. Follow the speed limit

Sometimes it’s easy to catch yourself going over the speed limit when you’re in a rush to get somewhere. However, it’s important to always follow to speed limit for your own safety and those around you.

5. Use your turn signals

Though you may know where you are turning, it’s important to use your turn signals to let others around you know your intentions to help avoid a crash.
